That suit dealt with more straightforward allegations of anticompetitive behavior. Google is the nation's biggest antitrust case since Microsoft's in 1998. But the lawsuit also offers a rare and revealing look at the incentives, often invisible to users, that have reshaped the ways we interact with technology.
